Six culinary herbs, grown in the UK and sent out as young plants ready to pot on: rosemary, thyme, sage, oregano, parsley and mint. The set a kitchen actually uses, rather than the one that looks good in a photograph.

They will take a sunny windowsill, a doorstep or a bed by the back door. Cut them often and they thicken up rather than run to seed.

Sent direct from the grower. Herbs are dispatched when they are ready to travel, so allow up to 15 days — longer than the rest of the shop.
