Our photography
Worth being plain about, because it is not obvious from looking.
Our product photographs start as the supplier’s own images of the actual item. Many of them are then digitally edited, and some are placed into digitally generated room settings, so that a lamp or a vase can be seen in a room rather than on a white background.
The product itself is real and is shown as it is. The room around it is not a real room, and any furniture, walls, floors or objects surrounding the product are illustrative — they are not included, not for sale, and not an indication of scale beyond the dimensions we publish. Where scale matters, go by the measurements on the product page rather than by how something looks in a setting.
Colours and finishes
Screens differ, and so do the lighting conditions a photograph was taken in. Colours, finishes and wood grains vary slightly from what you see. Natural materials vary between individual pieces by their nature. If something arrives and the colour is genuinely not what was described, that is a matter for our returns policy and we will treat it as one.

The text, layout, design and arrangement of this website are ours, and we would rather you did not copy them wholesale. Product images are used under licence from our suppliers. Nothing here grants you a right to reuse any of it commercially.
If you think something on this site infringes your rights, email us and we will look at it properly rather than ignore it.
